Peace of mind. A mellow life. Crunk music. Investing in spy equipment and communist memorabilia. Having dance contests with myself. Placing last in the local triathlon. All of these things, plus a firm belief in the Lord.

I think that's given me enough incentive to make an attempt at seeing The Beekeeper now. I loved Landscapes in the Mist but had problems with the awkward, Bresson-esque dialogue so it appears to be fixed there. I think it's even on nonfiction's list over at the deux...

And i see that you have Summer Palace as your #1 in your netflix queue; cool. I was planning on seeing that too.

Are you gonna watch those Kiarostamis soon? I await your thoughts

Yeah, I tried to watch Close-Up but it wasn't that great. I started A Taste of Cherry a few days ago but it just like a non-great version of The Brown Bunny. So, I dunno...

:D!! I didn't realize Huppert had done so much Godard somehow... was planning Passion for next month anyway, and I'd better add this one. KG ratio tanks ever downward. 8)

Please stick with Taste of Cherry. It's a very rewarding film by the end, though it may not be immediately apparent. It's one of those "hauntingly beautiful" films like Werckmeister Harmonies or Syndromes and a Century (without the problems regarding dialogue that you had with the former).

That's one of my favourite films - but I don't think Sidehacker would like it very much. The Angelopoulos I want to see most now is Voyage to Cythera.

Nice. I should learn from you....I wish I was a better writer. If you like it so much why don't start having a job as a small film critic? 8)

Last semester I was the film critic for my college paper and luckily I was able to pick and choose what to review...I was only "forced" to see one film and I savaged it. But I definitely agree you have chops, sidehacker. Nice work.
